Let's Create Temporary Labyrinths

Celebrate World Labyrinth Day on Saturday, May 3rd, by creating temporary labyrinths using simple designs and everyday materials. Presented by Veriditas Faculty member Lars Howlett and Peter Clark.

From chalk to tape, the beach to community centers, handheld to 170’ wide, hear stories about ephemeral labyrinths and how they weave storylines in specific settings. Site-specific patterns often made with found objects, reclaimed materials, or inexpensive supplies can make a big impact in a short period of time. Along with creating an opportunity for people to connect to the self, the environment, and the community, temporary labyrinths also offer a lesson in non-attachment... and sometimes pave the way for permanent labyrinths. It’s easier to take risks when stakes are low and a it's a shorter path through an improvised approach to channel intuition.
