Retracing our Path: The Spiritual Practice of History

A preview of our Pilgrimage to Chartres with Diana Butler Bass & Lauren Artress

Veriditas founder, the Rev. Dr. Lauren Artress, speaks with Diana Butler Bass in this preview of their upcoming labyrinth pilgrimage to Chartres Cathedral in June. They introduce the spiritual practice of an 'Honest History' and how in retracing the footsteps of the past, we can better write stories that forge paths for those who follow in the future.

Even if history is the source of much contention right now, I also think it can be a source of healing. We need - especially in churches - to practice honest history. This means recovering stories that have been hidden, fearlessly facing the past, and developing a spirituality of integrity regarding history.” – Diana Butler Bass
